The Guardians of my Heart portrays a heart watched over by whimsical guardians while demon-like figures gather at the edges, waiting for a chance to break through. The guardians embody hope, joy, love, resilience, and the quiet presence of those who stand beside us, while the lurking creatures represent fear, grief, and doubt. Through playful yet uncanny imagery, the illustration explores the constant tension between the emotions that protect us and the darker thoughts that seek to consume us, suggesting that the heart is never left entirely undefended.
