Great place with awesome view and good ambience. Anthony (Russian guy) was very patient, genuine and really took the time to teach me, but the other teacher Abhi just rushed me through as I was making mistakes. And instead of showing me, he did it. Felt like I didn't have much space to try and I he finished my last piece and got me to stop while my friends continued for another 30minutes. I started attending class at Dharamkot Studio over a month ago. I am originally from the United States but I've recently decided to spend time in my grandparents' house, my father's childhood home, in Dharamshala. Learning at the studio has been such a wonderful way to spend my time this summer. I was new to pottery entirely and everyone at the studio has been nothing but encouraging, kind, and welcoming. Pottery requires a lot of patience and dedication and I'm really grateful to be practicing these invaluable skills in such a beautiful atmospher, in the mountains, my grandparents called home.

Stumbled upon this by chance why exploring the streets of McLeodganj, but what a coincidence I must say. The studio is located admits the hills with the most amazing views. But the experience tops it all. Abhinav was an amazing tutor. Learnt a lot about pottery and enjoyed the whole experience. Dharamkot studio is made with passion and love for the clay. Vivek and his team started this with the mission that poetry is not only the matka and they reinvented the wheel of poetry with their passion of poetry. The energy of the place is so positive, and you don’t feel like leaving it soon. The creativity of the people doing workshop is amazing. My daughter Reet and I had the wonderful time. I did the 5 day pottery workshop which was worth it as I could actually Learn to handle the clay myself from being a total novice.  Be it hand building or wheel work. On the wheel we did centering to opening to pulling and to making basic shapes which was comprehensive and a lot of attention was given to making us accustomed to working on the wheel by ourselves. They are very open for you to come and practice extra on the wheel by yourself in the course of those 5 days as well. All the instructors out there are excellent. Ananya , Abhinav , Kapil , Priyanka , Pragya And of course the owner Vivek 👏🏻. They all have their own distinctive styles but know what they are doing and know how to translate it beautifully to us. I just loved the experience,  a must visit place and the staff is super helpful and they enjoy their Job , automatically we also get to enjoy the experience.
