Terrene Drift I is a sculptural exploration of the human form reduced to its most essential presence. The elongated silhouette and subtly inclined head evoke a quiet figure, balancing stillness with a sense of gentle movement.

Crafted in stoneware, the sculpture is finished with layered glazes that flow naturally during firing, creating surfaces reminiscent of weathered stone, mineral deposits, and landscapes shaped over time. The kiln becomes an active collaborator, allowing fire and gravity to leave their own traces on the work.

Rather than depicting anatomy directly, Terrene Drift I suggests the human body through proportion and posture. It exists between the familiar and the abstract, inviting contemplation rather than definition. Rooted in earth yet transformed by fire, the sculpture reflects themes of presence, erosion, and the quiet resilience found within both the human body and the natural world.
