This piece is part of an ongoing little obsession of mine.

The design is completely freehand, and I’m constantly trying to get better at it—cleaner cuts, neater lines, new patterns, different glazes. Every time I make one, I notice something I want to change in the next.

It’s also one of those practices that has taught me to slow down. A lot. There’s no rushing this form. Every little cut needs attention, and when you’re working this closely with the clay, you start noticing details you’d normally miss.

This piece is as much about the process as it is about the finished form.
